Mechanical engineering principles are employed in a wide range of industries such as power generation, manufacturing, energy, repair and maintenance, automation and control, robotics, electronics, nanotechnology, food industries, automotive, petroleum, aerospace, etc. Over the last one decade, we have grown our expertise and competence in the core Mechanical Engineering and research.

The key feature of the Mechanical Department at SCP to prepare the students to showcase their innovative talents and skills.In keeping with the policy of excellence in education, we are equipped with Machine Shop, Welding shop, fitting shop, Thermal Lab, Automobile lab,SOM Lab, Fluid Mechanics Lab,Power Engineering Lab, AutoCAD Lab etc.

Other than academics, we pay close attention to the holistic development of our students. As such Guardian faculty member is assigned to a group of students who look after their academics, discipline and other related issues and are focused on resolving them. 20% seats of approved intake are for VOCLET qualifying students in addition to the approved intake in each course as per WBSCT & VE & SD norms.
Syllabus of the above mentioned courses framed by WBSCT & VE & SD and approved by AICTE would be followed.
