Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams and buildings. Civil engineering is the second-oldest engineering discipline after military engineering and it is defined to distinguish non-military engineering from military engineering. It is traditionally broken into several sub-disciplines including architectural engineering, environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, control engineering, structural engineering, earthquake engineering, transportation engineering, forensic engineering, municipal or urban engineering, water resources engineering, material engineering, waste water engineering, quantity surveying, construction surveying and construction engineering etc. Civil engineering takes place in the public sector from municipal through to national governments, and in the private sector from individual home owners through to international companies.

Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering is the discipline that applies the principles of engineering, physics and materials science for the design, analysis, manufacturing and maintenance of mechanical systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves the design, production and operation of machinery. It is one of the oldest and broadcast of the engineering disciplines.

The engineering fields requires an understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, structural analysis and electricity. Mechanical engineers use these core principles along with tools like computer –aided design and product lifecycle management to design and analyze manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, heating and cooling systems, transport systems, aircraft, robotics, medical devices, weapons and others.

Electrical Engineering

Electrical engineers are more than just system designers and developers. Engineers are involved in projects from conceptualization to maintenance. Engineers handle practicalities by conducting feasibility studies and cost analyses. Because of their multifaceted duties, electrical engineers sometimes specialize in project management, research and development or consultancy. Because of the wide range of industries using electrical engineers, many engineers specialize in sub-discipline of electrical engineering.

Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering

Electronics Engineering is an engineering discipline which utilize non-linear and active electrical components (such as electron tubes, and semiconductor devices, especially transistors, diodes and integrated circuits) to design electronic circuits, device and systems. The discipline typically also designs passive electrical components, usually based on printed circuit boards.

The term “Electronic Engineering” denotes a broad engineering field that covers sub-fields such as analog electronics, digital electronics, consumer electronics, embedded systems and power electronics. Electronics Engineering deals with implementation of applications, principles and algorithms developed within many related fields for example solid-state physics, radio engineering telecommunications, control systems, signal processing, systems engineering, computer engineering, instrumentation engineering, electric power control, robotics and many others.

Computer Science & Engineering

Computer science is the scientific and practical approach to computation and its applications. It is the systematic study of the feasibility, structure, expression, and mechanization of the methodical procedures (or algorithms) that underlie the acquisition, representation, processing, storage, communication of, and access to information. An alternate, more succinct definition of computer science is the study of automating algorithmic processes that scale. A computer scientist specializes in the theory of computation and the design of computational systems.

Central Library

A well designed building with modern facilities, the Central Library of the Institute presently consists at least 15000 volumes of text books and reference books on all relevant subjects.

More than 30 national and international journals, magazines and national dailies are available in the central library. Reading facilities are also available.

Student Attendance

At least 75% attendance must be required for the eligibility to sit in the semester examination. Utmost importance is given to regular class attendance which is a responsibility of engineering education. Students should recognized this is personal liability and apprise themselves of the consequence of poor attendance.

Hostel

Hostel accommodation and hygienic foods are provided to Girl’s with 24 hours security, lady attendant and medical support. For Boy’s. Hostel 24 hours security, male attendant and medical support with careful supervisions of respective supers in each hostel.
